The FIBARO Motion Sensor is a highly advanced, ultra small multi-sensor. Motion Sensor honored with CES 2015 Innovation Awards and International Design Awards 2015. This tiny sensor has a built-in temperature sensor, light sensor and accelerometer. The eye of the sensor shines with user-defined colors to visually alert when detects motion and alarm. The Motion Sensor is completely wireless and mobile. It can even turn the lights on when you enter that room!
How often does it happen that one of family members forgets to turn off the light? Motion Sensor integrated with lighting system is a simple way to save the energy. Lamps will automatically turn on when someone enters the room and turn off when no movement is detected.
Children during their innocent plays may become a reason of minor damages at your home. How to protect your jewellery, important documents or expensive cosmetics from their creativity? Motion Sensor is a small device which will take care of your valuables. When the sensor detects movement in the room, the information will be sent to your phone. It is your decision what actions should be taken later.
Your child does not like to fall asleep when it is dark in the room? Thanks to Motion Sensor there will be no need to get up and turn off the lamp in a child's room. The sensor will turn off the light automatically after the child falls asleep and stops moving in the bed.
Are you worried that your child will wake up at night and wander around the house unattended? Motion Sensor will send you a notification whenever motion is detected in the hallway at night.
Motion Sensor turns on the lights in the room when motion is detected, but only if it is necessary. Built-in light sensor allows the device to distinguish day from night. Lamps will be turned on only after sunset or on a cloudy day.

4m max.
Procedure for resetting the FIBARO Motion Sensor:
1) Make sure the battery is not discharged and properly in place in the case.
2) Press and hold button B for 4-6 seconds until the LED illuminates yellow signaling the 2nd option in MENU mode.
3) Release button B.
4) Briefly press button B again. Successful reset will be confirmed by the LED changing to red color before it turns off.
Notes:
When you are in the Z-Wave network range test mode, the LED indicates the status of the Z-Wave communication.
FLASHING GREEN – The sensor is attempting to establish direct communication with the main controller.
GREEN – The detector is in direct communication with the main controller.
FLASHING YELLOW – The sensor is trying to establish communication with the main controller via other modules.
YELLOW – The detector is in indirect communication with the main controller.
FLASHING PURPLE – The sensor is communicating with the controller at the controller's range limit.
RED – The detector cannot connect to the main controller, either directly or through other nodes in the Z-Wave network
To enter the MENU, press and hold button B for at least 3 seconds.
The MENU levels will be indicated by the different colors of the LED:
PURPLE - Z-Wave network range test

5. The FIBARO Motion Sensor is damaged
Please contact your dealer to initiate the warranty procedure for your FIBARO Motion Sensor.
The range of the sensor can be influenced by the environment. Check for moving objects within the sensor's detection angle, such as the movement of tree branches in the wind or passing cars. False motion alarms can be caused by moving air masses and/or hot air.
If the battery is draining quickly, please check the following parameters which can influence the life of your battery:
• Wake-up intervals too short – it is recommended to lengthen this interval.
• Timeout for sending temperature and light intensity measurement reports too short – change the Advanced Settings to decrease the frequency of sending reports.
• If associated devices or the main controller of the Z-Wave network lose power, the sensor will too often attempt to reconnect to these devices in vain; which will result in shortened battery life.
No, it is for indoor use only.
The actual range of the detector may be influenced by its surroundings, but it can be up to 7 meters. His angle of view is very wide.
You must adjust the insensitivity time of the motion sensor using parameter 2. After this period of time, the PIR detector will detect a new movement.
The longer the insensitivity period, the longer the life of your battery. If you want the detector to detect any movement quickly, you can decrease this time.
Parameter 80 determines how the LED reacts after motion detection.
Value between 1 and 9 = single long flash at the moment of motion detection. No further movement will be reported until the alarm is cancelled.
Value between 10 and 18 = single long flash when motion is detected and one short flash each time another motion is detected during alarm.
Value between 19 and 26 = single long flash when motion is detected and two short flashes each time another motion is detected during alarm.
Parameter 8 determines the period of activity of the PIR sensor during the day.
This setting only affects motion detection reports and associations. Measurements of light intensity, temperature and sabotage detection will always be active, regardless of this setting.
0 – PIR sensor always active
1 – PIR sensor active during the day only
2 – PIR sensor active at night only
The sensitivity of the FIBARO Motion Sensor can be modified using the first parameter. The lower the value, the more sensitive the PIR sensor will be.
You can choose to add or subtract a value to the actual temperature measured by the sensor (temperature compensation) using parameter 66.
It is very simple. The FIBARO Motion Sensor can be configured to work as an earthquake detector by setting the value of parameter 24 to 4.
Reports about vibrations will be sent to the controller at the time intervals specified in parameter 22.
No, it cannot be mains powered. The detector does not have connectors to connect it to the mains.
