You have to wait for the smoke level to drop.

Yes. It can work like a conventional battery operated smoke detector. In fact, it doesn't need to be added to a Z-Wave controller. It can simply detect smoke and signal an alarm with its built-in siren. Of course, if you add it to a Z-Wave controller, you'll find a wide range of possibilities.

It is not possible. This device is only a sensor, not a Z-Wave siren.

This is the Z-Wave out of range alarm. You can set the signaling time interval in parameter 32.

The FIBARO Smoke Detector is equipped with an LED diode, it allows to display the operating modes and alarms of the detector.

The LED indicator also shows the Z-Wave network range and current temperature.

FIRE ALARM, TAMPER ALARM, MALFUNCTION ALARM – flashes red

Z-WAVE NETWORK RANGE – flashes pink

BATTERY NEARLY FULL – flashes yellow

There is only one way to reset the FIBARO Smoke Detector. Resetting the FIBARO Smoke Detector erases the EPROM memory, including all information about the Z-Wave network and the main controller.

However, resetting the device will not delete the device from the Z-Wave main controller memory. Before resetting the device, it must be excluded from the Z-Wave network.

1. Press and hold button B for 3 seconds until the LED lights up white.

2. Release button B when a short beep sounds.

3. Wait until the LED lights up yellow signaling entry into the 4th menu.

4. Briefly press button B to confirm the choice.

5. A successful reset will be confirmed by the LED lighting up red. A short beep will sound at the same time.

When you are in the Z-Wave network range test mode, the LED indicates the status of the Z-Wave communication.

FLASHING GREEN – The detector is trying to establish direct communication with the main controller

GREEN – The detector is in direct communication with the main controller

FLASHING YELLOW – The detector is trying to establish communication with the main controller via other modules

YELLOW – The detector is in indirect communication with the main controller

FLASHING PURPLE – The detector is communicating with the controller at the limit of the controller's range

RED – The detector cannot connect to the main controller, either directly or through other nodes in the Z-Wave network

When navigating through the menus, the MENU levels are indicated by the different colors of the LED. To enter the MENU, press and hold the B button. Once the LED turns white, release the B button. The LED will then begin to change colors in a specific order.

Each color corresponds to a different MENU level. Press the TMP button to confirm your choice.

Transitions between MENU levels will be signaled by a short beep.

WHITE - Confirmation of entry into the self-test MENU

GREEN – Refresh alarm status for associated devices

ROSE - Z-Wave Network Range Test

YELLOW - Sensor Reset

FIBARO Smoke Sensor cannot support more than 5 devices per association group.

Add up to 5 Z-Wave devices to an association group.
